Meet The Halberts

We homeschool our kids here on our little five-acre farm, where we keep a Jersey cow (Darby), chickens, pigs, honeybees, and, of course, our beloved Golden Retrievers.

We’re actively involved in our local church and love being part of a strong community of believers. My husband is currently in seminary, pursuing ministry, while also working full-time as a subcontractor.

As for me, my greatest joy is my relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. Second to that, I love being a wife and a mother. Being a homemaker and having the privilege of staying home to raise and homeschool our children is one of the greatest blessings of my life. I’m so thankful that this business allows me to do just that.

While being a wife, mother, and homemaker is my highest calling, my passion and hobby—without a doubt—is dogs. When I say I’m dog-obsessed, that might be an understatement! Just ask my husband. I love researching the breed, keeping up with the latest health testing, reading articles from veterinarians, and watching seminars. Basically, if it has to do with dogs, I’m all about it!

The fact that the Lord has given me the opportunity to turn this passion into a business is truly a dream come true. It never feels like work because I love it so much.

I hope you enjoy our website and getting to know our little family. If you’d like to stay up to date with what’s new on the farm, consider subscribing to our newsletter—we send out weekly updates!

Thank you again for being here!

Blessings,
The Halberts (Millie)

Hello there!

Thank you so much for visiting our page! I’d love to share a little bit about who we are.

We’re the family behind this farm—a small family living in the rolling hills of Southern Indiana. My husband and I both grew up here in this very county, and little did we know, we lived just a cornfield apart from each other. Now, is that the beginning of a Midwest love story or what?

In 2015, we met, and in 2016, we were married! He was the man of my dreams—the very one I had prayed so hard for. Like most young couples, we soon decided we needed to add to our family… a four-legged friend, of course! Just a month after getting married, we brought home our very first dog, an Australian Shepherd named Brody.

I’ve always loved dogs, but my dad wasn’t the biggest fan. He used to tell me that when I got married, I could have as many dogs as I wanted—and let’s just say, I took him seriously!

Over the last several years, we’ve added not only more four-legged friends but also three two-legged ones! Our children—Hudson, Lottie, and Birdie Anne—are our greatest joy, and Lord willing, we hope to have more.
